 | Emergency Burns Appeal Without the appliances and services we take for granted, Palestinians must perform basic everyday functions using gas cylinders, petrol and naked flames as fuel. Cramped and inadequate living conditions can often lead to domestic fires. And because burns units are few, and military checkpoints on the roads make them hard to reach, accidents like burns can prove deadly. Tabrez completed his journey from Land's End to John O'Groats in eleven days raising a brilliant £3,631.87, including gift aid, for MAP! "This was one of the greatest experiences of my life, and as I literally sped through it, it is only now that this small achievement is sinking in. The bigger feat was raising all this money from so many people – old and new friends, family and others who understand the cause and chose to donate. There are too many people to list, but along the 1000 miles, I was treated so well by everyone I met, especially in Northern Scotland where I got to appreciate the beautiful countryside and the wonderful nature of good people who want to help. This was also a huge mental challenge, and all the Twitter & Facebook messages along with the Blog followers really helped me get through this. Thank you and I hope we have all made a difference!" You can still sponsor him to support his efforts!
