So, what is Councillor Phil Thomas up to with his plan to introduce weekly bin collections?
He was shouting from the rooftops during the election that IF LABOUR WON we would introduce weekly bin collections.
We had no plans to, but clearly Tory Cllr Thomas did.
What a complete load of rubbish.
No consultation with residents on this one, though our beloved council seems to take no notice of consultations in any case.
Its also rather odd, because the Tory-led government is currently planning to bribe councils to re-introduce weekly collections!
I wonder if Croydon will apply for funding??
